Chesapeake Contracting Group, Inc. and its employees select several organizations
and foundations each year to be the recipients of Chesapeake’s charitable contributions
participation in the fund-raising events and through direct corporate donations.
- The Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center at the University of Maryland Hospital
and Chesapeake Contracting Group teamed up in January 2008 to form the Chesapeake Contracting Fund. All funds
raised are utilized for the Center’s cancer research, new treatments, helping to
improve the overall care of cancer patients.
- CCG is the co-sponsor of the
Building Industry Golf Classic, being
held this summer 2008 at Caves Valley Country Club. The previous BIGC raised $250,000
and all monies raised went to the Marlene and Stewart
Greenebaum Cancer Center.
- CCG sponsors the Arky Pollokoff Golf Outing which raises money for the Healing Exchange Brain Trust. The money raised
helps to provide a better quality of life for individuals living with brain tumors
and related conditions.
- The Safeway Foundation improves
the quality of life in local neighborhood communities by providing hunger relief,
education, health and human resource services and additional funding to agencies
that aid people with special needs.
- Charitable contributions to The Hospice of
the Chesapeake helps to provide care to families in Anne Arundel
County, MD and Prince George's County, MD who are experiencing advanced illness
or bereavement. CCG has been a sponsor for the last several years.
- The Associated Jewish Charities
works to preserve and enhance Jewish life locally, nationally and throughout the
world.
